Raptors Resigning Champagnie to Two Year Deal, Ron Harper Jr. Signs Two Way Deal

The Toronto Raptors are Resigning Justin Champagnie to a Two Year partially guaranteed deal as reported by Josh Lewenberg of TSN. He said the detals of the deal are similar to the one DJ Wilson had recently signed. If that is the case, there is probably a guaranteed amount up front and ensures that he will be here for training camp and should have a good shot at getting one of the final roster spots on the team. He was on a two way contract last year and was a restricted free agent with the Raptors already giving him a qualifying offer to hold his rights.

Justin Champagnie played very well in the gleague last year averaging 21.1 points per game, 8.1 rebounds and shot 40.9 percent from three. The raptors love him for his rebounding and hussle for his size and hope that his shooting will translate into the NBA this year. Even though the Raptors resigned Justin Champagnie, he is currently not playing in summer league due to an injury.

Ron Harper Jr. Signs Two Way Deal

The Raptors also have officially Ron Harper to a two way contract according to TSN. The Rutgers senior went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft and the raptors quickly offered him a two way contract. The contract means he will spend time with the Raptors 905 in the gleague but will have opportunity to play for the main club on some occasions during the season. Ron Harper Jr. is currently playing for the Raptors summer league team.
